On September 30 (Saturday), we walked around Wytheville, VA. If you don’t mind some hilly ups and downs, Wytheville is a very walkable town.
One of the shops I wondered into was a fabric shop. Bruce stayed outside, as he just wasn’t interested.

I asked for permission to take pictures and was given it. They had some gorgeous fabrics and beautiful quilts on display.
I was tempted to buy some fabric, but recalled I didn’t have anything in particular I wanted to make.
The shop is a two story building that is very attractive, inside and outside.
I loved seeing all the finished quilts.

Nice quilting shop! The quilts are like paintings with fabric. I am always on the lookout for a yarn shop.

It was a beautiful quilt shop. I love yarn and fabrics, even if I don’t do anything with them anymore.

These were just beautiful works of art, and so interesting to see. I can see why Bruce wasn’t interested–Rand would have been sitting out there with him. It is so fascinating to see what they make with fabric.

I love the colors of fabric and yarn, even if I don’t do anything with them anymore. The quilts were such stunning pieces of color and patterns.

Are you even carrying a sewing machine around with you?? I love the Beach Bums! Thank you for the photos of beautiful art work.

I didn’t bring my sewing machine along. It is an old heavy machine. In the great weight trade off, I’d rather have my small cooking appliances. I do use them enough to make it worthwhile to have them.
