Rally attendees started arriving early on Thursday, August 10th (we were in this group) and most attendees did arrive at least one day early, August 12th (Saturday). There was a flurry of arrives on Sunday, August 13th.
On Sunday night (August 13), the FROG Rally officially kicked off with a dinner and a speech about the Rally.
Monday morning, Rick needed a ride back after dropping his truck off for a truck bed liner to be sprayed in. Bruce headed out early and meet Rick at the shop. Bruce dropped Rick off at his RV and parked the truck.
Bruce found me at the rally breakfast. After breakfast, we headed to the RV to figure out which sessions we wanted to attend.
We headed to the sessions put on by vendors throughout the day. Last year, we rode the FROG Hoppers (golf carts) to get around because my ankle was sprained. This year, we walked everywhere.
On Monday and Tuesday, they had a farmer bring in sweet corn that he handed out. (Free)
On Tuesday and Thursday, they don’t serve dinner as they offer bus excursions. On Tuesday, they brought in food trucks for lunch.
One of the Rally days, Bruce drove Rick to the shop so Rick could pick up his truck. The bed liner looked great in Rick’s truck. (The days started to run together, the Rally was so busy.)
There are some fun clubs that have formed and meet in the evenings. Here is a golf cart decorated for the Tiki Club.
The Elkhart 4-H Fairgrounds are beautiful. I didn’t take many pictures this year. Here is a post from last year.
This year we went on one of the bus excursions. I’ll do a separate post on it.
We had two problems that we requested to be fixed. We have some windows that the arms don’t work, so some of windows come open while we travel. Our next request was to deal with our roof. One of the curved pieces of metal on the side of the roof started coming up.
The roof work had to be done at the factory. (Our RV is at the factory today for the roof repair. We are staying in a hotel tonight. We also requested some additional work while the RV is at the factory.) We are getting replacement window arms and Bruce is going to repair the windows.
At the Rally, I custom ordered vinyl stickers with my blog url and my blog logo to put on our RV. I am going to do another post for adding the stickers to the RV.
The vendors were happy to talk to the RVers and even offered to help resolve problems. We talked to Firefly and they stopped by and replaced a motherboard on their control system so it would correctly read tank levels.
There was live music during some of the evenings and free ice cream during the day.
We had a great time at the rally!

I was so hoping that you would dress as Frogs, have croaking contests and run around yelling “ribbitt” at each other. C’mon, it’s a FROG rally! At dress Ms Nox as a tadpole. Just kidding- sounds like a fun event for you guys.

There was one person dressed as Frog! Many people had frogs sitting out. Miss Nox wanted to be a full grown frog and not a tadpole.
