We try to get a walk in every day. On July 7 (Friday), we took a walk around the RV park. First, we walked Nox. She walked over to see the farmer’s dog next door. She decided the farmer’s dog was too big for her to play with and proceeded to ignore the farmer’s dog.

After Nox was tired from her walk, Bruce and I went on a walk around the park.
These little peddle cars look like fun. They fit an adult. One even has a child seat in back.

We then headed into the main part of the park and saw a totaled RV. A huge branch broke off an oak tree and came down on this RV. It had smaller branches go through the roof. The slide was broken and unable to move. The air conditioners are broken. This was a seasonal RV and they had a beautiful poach that was destroyed. Thank goodness no one was in the RV when this happened!

Good to hear no one was hurt by the falling tree. Being struck by a large limb or whole tree while in the trailer is a fear of mine.

After we had a branch fall on our RV, it has become a fear of mine as well. While it is nice to be in the shade, knowing a branch can fall on the RV is a bit scary.

Nox is just so darn cute and full of personality. Those pedal carts do look fun. Stay safe. Don’t park under large tree branches. 🙂

We certainly think Nox is the best, but we may be a tad biased. I hope we’ll avoid any damage from large branches falling on us.

I never thought about that before. What do you do if/when your RV is damaged? It’s not like you are in a familiar town with family nearby.

Well, it can be a real problem. We are getting some roof work done in August at the factory. We’ll be staying in a hotel that allows dogs.
It can be a real challenge for those of us who live in their RVs fulltime. There are mobile RV techs who can take care of most problems. If you aren’t fulltime, it is super important to have a good RV dealer.

Did you know all this before you started out, or did you learn along the way?

We knew most of this before we started out. We watched a lot of YouTube channels of fulltime RVers to understand what we were getting into. So far, we haven’t run into anything we haven’t heard about.

Wow, what a scary thing to see! I’m glad no one was in the RV when the branch fell. It’s incredible to think about how much damage a large branch can cause. It’s a good reminder to be careful when walking around RV parks. Thanks for sharing this story!

There was a strong storm in the area that night. There was a tree in the neighbors’s barnyard that got hit by lightning and fell over.
