Management has known that I was going to retire at the end of January since September. This morning, I made it official and turned in my retirement notice.
When I think about it, I feel teary and sad, with a little bit of “what was I thinking” thrown in. I have truly enjoyed the last 20 years and 10 months of work. They paid me to solve interesting problems and to help people. It has been a great chapter in my life!
I have mostly focused on my excitement for the start of the new adventure I will be embarking on as we live the RV lifestyle. Turning in my retirement notice makes it really real. It is happening as of January 28, 2022!
I wish my friends and soon-to-be-former co-workers, the very best! I hope I get to see them when I roll back through Colorado on our travels.

Congratulations!! It is always hard to make a big change. But I almost always find that once you finally embark on the new situation, it is positive and includes new friends and good experiences. Plus you still have memories of previous times and can still stay in contact with people.

Slacker. 😈😈 Couldn’t resist! Congratulations on your well deserved retirement and launch of a new life. Retirement is great! If I’d have known how great I would have done it at 40. I would have starved but I’d have been smiling all the way! Next stop…the open road.
