March 28, 2020
My blog hasn’t been much at RV dreams and plans lately. I had planned on writing about our trip to the RV show on March 8th during the next week. Life changed drastically in such a short time, that it feels our RV retirement dream is on hold, at least for now.
At the beginning of the year, we had hoped to find an RV by the end of March or beginning of April. As we have watched, in shock and horror, the pandemic of COVID-19 unfold in the news, it has caused us to discuss our RV dreams.
We have followed stories of full-time RVers and their struggle to find open campgrounds. I have been impressed by the RV community response. I have been less than impressed by various governments responses about fully contained RVs and people who live full-time in their RVs.
It has made us think. Do we need to own or lease a site? Some land? It would give us a place that we could go to, if needed. Bruce mentioned maybe we could use family members property? Will we ever have something like this again in our lifetime?
We still want to RV, but we’ve put finding an RV on the back burner for now. We aren’t sure what the economy is going to do, and I am very lucky that I have a great job.
To all of you, stay safe, and those of you in the RV community, we hope to see you on the road.
I feel your pain about cancelled travel plans. Darn this virus!

Travel has long been a dream of mine. It will happen, just maybe not as soon as I had hoped. Stay safe!

These are good things to contemplate especially with the new circumstances of covid 19. It will be interesting to see what you decide eventually. Good luck, and stay safe.

Just because it is on the back burner for now does not mean you still can’t do it later. I like your idea of getting a little spot of land. Hang in there. It will happen. 🙂

Maybe it’s just not the right time yet. 🙂

I guess the bright side is you have more time to sort through all the stuff you want to sell/give away/keep/store. :D. Hang in there!

More time just means there will be procrastination. It’s Bruce’s superpower!
