Wait, how did it get to be December of 2025? This year has flown by!

Earlier in the year, we decided to take a step towards making sure we didn’t miss any important decisions in retirement.

I interviewed three fiduciary financial planning firms. While I really liked Creative Planning, their closest office was in Nashville, TN, a 2-hour, 14-minute drive. While they can handle most things online, we liked the idea of being able to stop by the office if we wanted to.

Today, we signed up with Savant. They have an office in Huntsville, AL, an hour and nine minutes drive. We go to Huntsville on a fairly regular basis, so this felt a lot more comfortable.

I am a lot less concerned we might miss something important in retirement. In some cases, I was afraid we might not even realize that we should research something!
