Good News on my Father-in-Law‘s Health

November 20, 2025

My father-in-law’s infection is gone! He is building tissue and pushing through his PT. The physical therapist has to slow my FIL down as my FIL keeps pushing to do more. His recovery has impressed the doctors and nurses. He is walking down the hall and back with his wound suck attached. Bruce’s sister sent a smiling picture of my father-in-law walking with the physical therapist and nurses to everyone in the family. The nurses and the physical therapist even arranged for my FIL to go out side for half an hour in a wheelchair, which helped his morale. My father-in-law has two blood clots that they are trying to break up.

My father-in-law is back to his cheerful self. He is still sleeping a lot, but we are assured this is good for him. He will have his skin graft soon, but that is still a day-to-day determination.

The nurses are happy my FIL’s family has been there to take care of him. They told Bruce’s sister how much they liked Bruce. Apparently, he made quite an impression. The nurses called him several times to get information and to update Bruce on his dad’s condition. Luckily, I was able to look it up on this blog.

Bruce, after having me look up information a couple of times, created a timeline spreadsheet of his dad’s health issues. Bruce wanted to have the information at his fingertips.
