Friends Stop By for Lunch

June 29, 2025

On June 18 (Wednesday), friends we made during our fulltime RVing days, came over for lunch from Guntersville, AL. We had a great time showing them around so they could see all the changes. The last time they were here, we didn’t have much in the way of furniture.

Nox loved the extra attention our friends lavished on her.

I made lunch and we enjoyed visiting over the food. They couldn’t stay too long after eating since they have a puppy to get back to.

After they left, Bruce and I put the food away. I finished cleaning up from lunch.

Bruce and I walked started our walk around Blackberry Homestead by heading down our long driveway to the mailbox. Near the road, I saw a question mark butterfly on the concrete next to the culvert. In the back pasture, I saw this dragonfly resting on the stick Bruce is using to mark his spot to take consistent pictures of pine tree number three.

Later, in the evening, we sat outside on the porch, watching the birds at the feeders. As the sun set, the fireflies rose into the air, flashing across the front yard.

We watched the fireflies until there were only a few flashing.

My back, shoulder and neck were hurting on and off. Fortunately, it wasn’t nearly as bad as it can get. I do believe PT is helping, even when I over do it and cause a flare up.
