Estate Sale, Rainstorm and Garden Pictures

On Friday (May 2), we headed to Florence to check out an estate sale. We were looking for a table to put the microwave on. We’ve had the microwave on upside down storage bins.

At the estate sale, we found a table that works well for the microwave. We purchased it and loaded it into the backseat of the truck. It was starting to rain and we didn’t want the table to get wet.

We waited until after the rain stopped to bring the table inside and to set the microwave on it.

While we waited for the rain to stop, I noticed water pouring off the gutter in the backyard.

The gutter was clogged. I got a ladder and unclogged the downspout next to the back door. I saw we had a real mess with the downspout by the garage back door.

The downspout had come loose from the gutter. I did a temp repair and reattached the downspout

I checked the gutters out front and found the gutter over the garage was backed up. I was up on the ladder clearing out that gutter when Bruce found me. He had wanted to show me a funny video. Bruce was not happy to find me on a ladder in the pouring rain. “What if you get dizzy and fall again?” I have been very careful not to get on the step-stool or ladder when I feel dizzy after my last fall.

I changed out of my soaked clothes and read for a bit.

After the rain stopped, we moved the table inside and put the microwave on it. Bruce opened the storage bins and nested them. The lids stacked together, making for a much smaller space needs.

We did a quick walk around the yard with Nox.

With the plants wet, I didn’t check closely for the insects on the mustard family plants.

We didn’t stay out long since everything was wet.
