Mobile Tech and More RV Cleaning

February 15, 2025

As part of getting the RV ready to sell, there were some items we felt needed to be repaired.

On Thursday (February 13), at 10:45 AM, the mobile tech we hired to repair three things in the RV arrived. We wanted him to replace the converter, repair the front air conditioner and replace the toilet seal.

While we (Bruce, Nox and I) were at the RV, I cleaned while the mobile tech guy and Bruce worked. I cleaned the drawers out and wiped them out with Mrs. Meyers. I spent more time than I expected cleaning the stove top and oven door. I mopped the entire RV and washed the outside of the kitchen cabinets.

With Bruce’s help, the mobile tech was able to replace the old problematic converter with the new converter Bruce purchased.

The mobile tech checked all the standard possible issues with the air conditioner. Everything looked good, but the air conditioner still was not working. The mobile tech admitted he didn’t know what else to check.

The mobile tech was able to replace the toilet seal quickly and without any problems. Brucw later said if he had realized how easy it was to replace the toilet seal, he could’ve done it.

After Bruce paid the mobile tech, he came in and asked what else needed to be cleaned. I said the inside of the fridge needed to be cleaned. We spent a good bit of time cleaning the fridge. Bruce washed the drawers and the shelves, while I washed the walls of the fridge. I also washed the freezer drawers. I was really pleased with how nice the fridge looked, almost new.

I was tired at the end of the day and happy to drive home. Driving over the Singing River Bridge, I noticed the Wilson Dam had water pouring out the overflows.

We arrived home and shortly afterwards we had a lovely sunset.

In looking towards the southeast part of the front yard, I saw a large puddle reflecting the sunset.

Bruce joined the family Zoom call with his dad while I made tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches on homemade bread for supper.

Bruce is concerned since the physical therapist released his dad to drive, but the doctor didn’t okay it. His dad does seem to continuing to recover, so maybe the physical therapists have the ability to release someone to drive.

The timing was perfect, dinner was ready just as the Zoom call ended.

We felt like we got a lot accomplished!

    1. I love doing things with Bruce. I once told Bruce that he’s a good person to be in a disaster with. He generally keeps a cool head. These days, he will swear a lot.
