It rained all morning. After lunch, I decided to wait until one o’clock to drive to the DMV. I wanted to avoid the lunch rush.
The rain stopped and it was 1:30 before I drove to the DMV and presented my two pieces of mail to be scanned for the Star ID. I had to have another picture taken. It didn’t cost me anything other than time and the fuel to get there and home.
They hadn’t sent yesterday’s license to the printer yet which is why there was no extra charge. If I had waited another day, there would’ve been a replacement fee. I am glad the clerk told me to come back by tomorrow with the two pieces of mail.
I stopped at the neighborhood grocery store (a Foodland 1/2 mile from the house) on the way home.
It had been raining while I was in the grocery store. It stopped long enough for me to load the groceries into the truck. After I got home and unloaded the groceries, I realized it was starting to sprinkle. It sprinkled some on and off for the rest of the daylight hours. I managed to find a beak to take Nox outside.
It started raining in earnest around 7:30 PM. There was a bit of wind with the rain, so we may have some tree branches down.
Here is the current radar map of the area.

The blue is light, the purple is moderate and the yellow is heavy.
Agh! I’m jealous. We’re still having a drought. Wanna send a little rain our way?

It rained again today here also, and just as it was beginning to dry out a bit. And like you, I loaded and unloaded groceries in the rain.

It is funny how that works. You’re about 140 miles from us. I am sure we get the same storm systems. We had a lot of wind last night. The barn door was wide open! It is very hard to move. I’ll be checking to see if we have any tree limbs down, but I don’t see anything from the house. I need a pair of rubber boots.
