Yesterday, when we headed out on the motorcycle, we saw a Can-Am Spyder turn into the RV park pulling a trailer with what looked like bundle on top.
After we got back to the park and were walking Nox, we saw the trailer set up.

Later, we were were out walking Nox and saw the Can-Am Spyder parked in front of the trailer.

We saw the owner out and stopped to see if he’d talk to us.
Tom was excited to show off his RV. Tom and his son-in-law built the trailer themselves. The base of the trailer was from Harbor Freight. They build the box and installed a premade tent. This version was 2.0 according to Tom. Tom removed the axel and attached the wheels directly to the trailer, reducing the weight by 200 to 250 pounds.
We had some suggestions of places for Tom to see while he was in the area.
Tom said good night and we carried Nox up the hill, back to the RV.
Really interesting!

It was. He had built in cabinet with slides to use every bit of space.

One step up from tent camping. At least you are off the ground!

Yes, he has a foam mattress in the tent that just folds up. It seems like a nice set up.
I wouldn’t want to tent camp and have to sleep on the ground anymore!

Do you know how far he had traveled/was traveling with that ingenious rig?

His tags were South Dakota. If I remember correctly, he had just come from California after visiting his daughter’s family in the San Diego area.
