Bruce called the body shop this morning to get details on when the truck would be ready. The office manager didn’t know and said she would call back once she had some information.
While Bruce was out talking to the RV mobile techs, she called back and I answered Bruce’s phone.
The news was not what we were hoping for.
The truck needs to be assembled and painted. We might get it next week.
As we had planned to leave on the 15th, we decided to try and extend our stay for another 2 weeks. We were able to extend our stay by 13 more days.
This repair is costing us more than expected. We are now paying for the car rental ourselves since the insurance coverage for the rental car has run out. We are having to stay longer at this very expensive RV park.
As Bruce says, “We just have to roll with it.”

I’m sorry. That stinks. Is the delay anyone’s fault, or just bad luck?

The 4th of July caused more of a delay than we had hoped. I also believe there was a bit more damage than expected.

Sometimes, rolling with it is the only option. I hope all is finished and you can move on soon!
