Last week, on Tuesday (July 2), Bruce got a call from our insurance. The body shop had called the insurance company to let them know the truck repair was taking longer than expected. I also think the 4th of July holiday delayed the work.
The insurance wanted to let Bruce know we had used up the insurance money available for a car rental. We do get to keep the rate the car rental company charges the insurance company. That does help.
Hopefully, we will get our truck back this week. Since the body shop is closed on Monday, Bruce will give them a call on Tuesday to find out the situation.

What a pain! I am sorry you have additional expenses, but I guess you still need transportation in the meantime.

As much as I would only like to use the motorcycle to get around, when it gets above 85 degrees F, I roast in full gear. I am not going to ride without full gear either. We also need to be able to get around in the rain and riding a motorcycle in the rain isn’t safe or comfortable.
So unfortunately, we do need something else to get around in while we wait for the truck to be repaired.

I have been out on the bike in full gear in the awful heat of the Texas summer. I almost suffered heat stroke 🥵. I drank 1/2 a gallon of water when I got off the bike. Never again. I learned my lesson!!!

There are a lot of museums in Golden that I would like to see. I may just have to leave Bruce behind, as he hasn’t been interested.
