Current Update…Bodyshop Timeline

Today, Bruce called a bodyshop in Lakewood, CO that we’ve used before. Bruce emailed the insurance quote to the bodyshop after talking to Jim (the bodyshop owner).

Jim wanted Bruce to bring the truck by at 3:00 pm. Bruce drove the truck over. I went along since Bruce feels it is easier if both of us hear the news.

The bodyshop can’t start work on the truck until June 4th and they expect it to take four weeks to repair. They have to get the parts before they can work on the truck.

Jim was great. He looked over the damage and felt the quote our insurance gave was reasonable. He wasn’t sure about a couple of dents. He thought they might be too deep and may cost more to repair.

Jim is used to working with our insurance company, so we aren’t expecting any issues there.

With some dates to get the truck repaired, we stopped at the RV campground office and requested another six weeks. It sounds like we’ll get it.
