After our train ride, we wondered through the train cars that were open.
The first car was a Pullman Sleeper. It was luxurious even its dilapidated state.

The Pullman Sleeper Car was an elegant and civilized way to travel!
The mail car was next. The mail car in Bellevue, Ohio was a much better experience and so I didn’t take any pictures of the mail car here.
The luggage car had a great exhibit. I loved seeing the trunks and old suitcases.

That was the end of open cars to explore. We walked around outside and looked at the information signs and the train engines and cars.

The museum was closing so we didn’t get to see the gallery exhibits.
As we headed back towards the motorcycle, one of the volunteers stopped his truck and asked us how we enjoyed the ride. We were enthusiastic about the train ride and how much fun it was. He thanked us for coming out and let us know he was glad we enjoyed the experience.
We walked back to the motorcycle, geared up and headed home.
It was a fun and lovely day.
Very cool! The Sleeper car and luggage car look sooo long when from the perspective of being inside.

They were surprisingly long. The sleeper car seemed huge! The luggage car was also really long. Most of the train cars didn’t seem to be that long.

Yes, you do. I love trains. It must be in the blood as my great-grandfather was a train engineer. A lot of extended family worked for the railroad in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
