Cliff, the Big Red Truck, started telling us it needed an oil and oil filter change. Bruce decided the truck would’ve counted down to needing the oil and filter changed while we were towing the RV to Michigan.
He was able to get an appointment to get the truck’s oil and filter changed at the RAM dealer in Kewanee, IL on July 17 (Monday) at 8 am.
We dropped off the truck and walked to the Station, about a mile away. It was closed so we stopped in at a coffee shop, Country Morning Coffee, and had an amazing raspberry and dark chocolate chip coffee cake. Bruce had coffee and I had a herbal tea.
As we walked back to the RAM dealer, I saw the library was open. I wanted to see the inside of the library. It has a beautiful interior.
We picked up the truck. Everyone seems to want cash or checks these days. There was a 3% discount for paying with cash or check instead of credit.

That is a big truck-!! Love the inside of the library. Everyone does seem to need and prefer cash.

It was beautiful! I don’t know if they had restored it or if they had just kept it up for over a hundred years! I am guessing on it being restored at some point.

Beautiful building! They have a nice story of the history on their website and you are correct! There was a renovation in 2001. You would probably enjoy the history of the building.

My mechanic gives a 5% discount for cash or check – it’s what they save not having to pay the credit card fees – and I’m happy with the savings.
