We rode into Wyanet, Illinois on July 3. There was a Filipino restaurant I wanted to try in Wyanet. I have an aunt who is from the Philippines. I remember that she would bring the most delicious food to my grandparents on Thanksgiving or Christmas.

The food at Harley-K was so delicious! If you are in the area, I highly recommend stopping at Harley-K on Main Street.
After dinner, we stopped in at the Wyanet Locker, a butcher shop. Several of the restaurants in the area brag that their meat comes from the Wyanet Locker.
We bought steaks and pork chops. We told the butcher how thick we wanted the steak and pork chops. We cooked one of the steaks over a charcoal fire on July 6th.
For the pork chops, I pan fried them and made tomato gravy to smoother the pork chops. It took me right back to my childhood.
Since we loved the food at Harley-K so much, we went back a second time on July 20th. We tried different dishes and they were delicious!
When we left the restaurant and started to gear up, the train crossing lights started flashing and the gate came down. We watched the train rollpast.

We then rode home to a waiting Nox.

Chicken curry, please!

I had the Chicken Kare-Kare and the Pork Binagoongan. So good! Bruce had the Pork Menudo and I don’t remember what he had the second time we went.

Did Nox sniff you thoroughly after your fragrant meal?

Yes, she did. She wanted our to go boxes, but we had to tell her they weren’t for her.
