We left the Harvest Host winery early, around 7:00 am on June 22.
We took I-29 back to East I-80. The weather was lovely as we drove through Iowa and Illinois.
Nox was out like a light once we started down the interstate.

When we stopped at a rest area, Nox was ready to get out and walk around.

Here are some pictures I took as we rolled down the interstate.

After crossing the Mississippi River, the Illinois Welcome sign was just a short ways past the bridge. There was a lot of reflection on the truck window, so please excuse the poor quality of the picture.

Nox woke up when we stopped at office of the campground.

We arrived at 1:40 PM. We were lead to our site. Once we were on the site, Bruce hooked up the surge guard to make sure the power at the pedestal was good. It wasn’t. He checked the power at the next pedestal to see if the surge guard was broken. The next pedestal over was fine.
The park owner had us move to the site with the good pedestal.
Bruce drove the RV around the loop to the next site and we got set up. Our site has some large trees and the shade is very nice.

Amazing photos! I love the morning fog and majestic Mississippi river. Great job capturing the moment. Thank you for sharing your experience!
