Tallahassee Automobile Museum, Part 2

February 21, 2023

After walking around the second floor, we headed down the ramp to the first floor of the museum.

Corvettes, Thunderbirds, Mustangs, and Trans Ams gleamed along the walls.

Older cars lined the back wall. They had several old electric cars and even a Stanley Steamer. This reminded me of Colorado and our stay at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park.

The horse drawn hearse believed to transport Abraham Lincoln’s body was in the museum.

There were so many beautiful cars.

The museum had several pianos and guitars.

And for those of you who are “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” fans, here’s something for you.

We really enjoyed the museum and I highly recommend stopping to see it if you are in the Tallahassee area.

    1. We spent over three hours there and we could’ve spent more time, but we needed to head out to get to our next stop. We felt it was well worth the price.

  1. Julia,

Thanks for the museum tour – it looks like the kind of place where you could spend days, not hours!!! I especially enjoyed the photos of the Karmann Ghia and Corvair – especially well preserved.

    1. The cars were gleaming! The paint jobs were immaculate. I do think you could spend a lot of time there. We just skimmed the surface by focusing on the cars.
