Gulf Pines KOA in Milton, FL

February 9, 2022

It was getting dark when we pulled into this KOA park on February 7, 2022. The office was closed, but they had spaces open. We pick up an envelope and filled out our particulars. There was no price listed. Their sign said to check the website for the price. We went to the website and the website said, “It is after 4 pm, so we can’t do a reservation or tell you the price.”

We decided to stay anyway, since we were ready to stop. Tired driving just isn’t safe.

In the morning, I took Nox for a walk. We stopped by the office to figure out the cost of our stay. They were very proud. We were charged $86. Bruce said he would have continued if he had known how expensive the KOA was.

Here are some pictures from the mornings walk.

They did have free coffee in the morning.

There was a pool, a playground, putt putt golf, a dog walk, showers, and toilets. They had spots for tent camping.

The sites were long and mostly pull throughs. We easily fit our total 63 ft long rig in the site. If we had unhitched, we could’ve fit our truck in the site as well.

The sites came with a picnic table, a fire ring, and full hookups.

  1. It sounds like your journey has been good so far. How long is your actual 5th wheel, not including the truck? Maybe on a future trip we will be able to sleep in the RV on the journey, instead of only when we get to the destination.
