The RV came with a memory foam mattress. The mattress was great for about 5 to 6 months. Then we noticed it was not bouncing back.
The mattress had developed dips where we slept. These dips were causing back pain. We switched the mattress from top to bottom and that helped while we waited for the mattress we ordered to arrive.
Our new mattress arrived on Saturday, but we didn’t put it on the platform until this morning.
First, we removed the old mattress.
I helped Bruce carry it to the dumpster at the park and toss it in.
We carried the new mattress into the bedroom and placed it on the platform.

Once the plastic wrapping was cut all the way across, we unrolled the mattress. We had to pull the plastic wrapping from underneath the mattress once the mattress was fully unrolled.
The mattress is supposed to expand for up to 24 hours.
We bought the mattress from Mattress Insider’s Park Meadows Pocketed Coil Mattress II https://www.mattressinsider.com/innerspring-home-mattresses.html
I’ll let you know how it works for us.
We replaced our RV mattress pretty quickly, too. We bought a Purple mattress and we’re very pleased. Probably any mattress would be an improvement!

It was an okay mattress at first, but by the time we tossed it, I was glad to see it gone. I did consider a Purple mattress. They seem like good mattress.

Hmmm…a mattress failure at the same time as a lot of posts featuring delicious looking foods…hmmm…coincidence or causality…let’s ask Miss Nox. 😈

She was looking a little chunkier. But don’t tell her I said so.

We replaced our mattress also. I think it’s a given. I don’t know why the RV people skimp on mattresses. Anyway, happy dreams. It’ll be so worth it!! We bought ours at Wayfair. It’s a pillow top. They don’t sell them anymore. Bummer.
