The Vet Called with Luna’s Test Results

As feared, it is kidney disease.

We will be giving her Enalapril once a day, as well as the prescribed dog food to help manage her renal failure. The vet also prescribed some medication for her to take before her subcutaneous fluid injection to help her relax. Hopefully, with the medication, the fluid injection won’t be so stressful for her. The vet said the fluid injections really do the most good, so we are going to see how she does. We are also not going to be in the room with her. The vet mentioned that us being in the room may cause her to cry more. I can understand, she wants us to rescue her from the mean people.
