Quick Post, Everything Is Ok

October 2, 2026

This is just to let you know everything is okay. The last half of September was just a hard month for me emotionally. I just didn’t feel like posting. I kept thinking about posting, but just couldn’t do it.

I know friends worry if they don’t see a post.

I’ll plan to get back to posting soon.

      1. I know the feeling. We never completely recover from the loss of our parents. But know she is watching over you and is very proud of you and all that you have done. She loves you, even in Heaven. Honor here by doing things that were special to her and to you. Treasure all the special moments you shared. Every time you think of those things, or see them, or do them, know that she is right there with you. 🙂

      2. You are very welcome. It is very hard, but knowing they are always still with you helps. My mother loved both butterflies and irises, so whenever I see either of the I know my mom is there too. My dad was in the Merchant Marines all his life, and worked on tankers, and specifically oil tankers, for most of that time, so whenever I see a tanker ship, no matter where I am in the world, I always wave and say “hi” to my daddy, because I know he is right there, watching over me and protecting me.

  1. Thanks for the post. When a prolific writer like you stops posting all of a sudden we get worried. Maybe you ran off with an itinerant tinker and are now selling snake oil in Muscle Shoals backwaters. Hey, the chances are non-zero.

    1. You are welcome. I know people worry so I felt I should let everyone know I was okay.

Funny story, for years I went to the same hairdresser for a haircut, hairstyle, and manicure. Many times Bruce went with me so we could go out to dinner afterwards. I always felt beautiful with my haircut and style and wanted to go out. The hairstylist often took longer than expected, so when Bruce came to pick me up, he had to wait. The people at the salon got to know Bruce as well as me. Bruce is a talker.

Bruce decided to get a buzz cut because of his motorcycle riding with his helmet on. He was riding his bike into work and needed to look professional and sweaty hair wasn’t the look he wanted. He also stopped wearing contacts about the same time.

He dropped me off at the salon and went to do Bruce things. He went inside to pick me up and he didn’t have to wait. His new look was so different that the manicurist whispered, “Good luck” to me as I headed out. I had no idea what she meant until next time I saw her. She thought I had tossed Bruce out and had taken up with a new guy. She wanted me to tell her all about it. 😆 🤣😆

      1. My husband and I have been had a few rough months since Feb. with medical and deaths of family and friends. I attribute that we are both still standing to our resiliency and this too shall pass.
