Continuing to Weed the Blueberry Ring

On August 8, it was back to chores in the morning to avoid the heat.

I weeded the blueberry ring while Bruce continued with the pigpen clean up. I didn’t take pictures. I just wanted to get out of the heat. This American Snout butterfly rode on my hat into the house. I stuck my hat outside and gently encouraged the butterfly to fly away.

Then the rains came, with bright jagged lightning and the cracking and booming overhead thunder.

We got a breakthrough in the clouds at sunset.
