Home from Surgery

May 6, 2026

I am back home from surgery. The surgeon told Bruce it well.

I am still woozy from the surgery. The drugs they gave me have made me very sleepy. I had planned to walk around a bit, but I am too unsteady. I don’t wanna take the chance of a fall while I’ve got stitches in.

I had planned to write a bit more, but I am too sleepy to do much. I’m going to take a nap…

    1. Thank you. Bruce is an excellent nurse. He woke me up to give me my pain medication and asked if I wanted to walk around inside the house. Walking is good to get the air from the surgery absorbed. It should also help with the wounds.

    1. I was out like a light. My husband woke me up just a short time ago to follow the surgeon’s orders. Wake up every three hours for pain medication. Since I was awake, we slowly walking thru the house. He held my hand so he could catch me if I fell.

    1. Thank you. I had a lot of long nap. My husband is following the doctor’s orders and waking me up every three hours for pain medication. Since he woke me from my nap, I took several laps inside the house. I was ready to climb back into bed.

  1. So happy to hear things went well! I didn’t think you’d have the energy to post for at least a few days. You’re Superwoman!

(You borrowed a kitty from the free library? Libraries sure are different where you live! 😂)

    1. I look forward to doing some reading. Well, my gardening will consist of walking and pointing out to Bruce what needs to be done. Apparently, walking is good for getting the air out and helping with the healing process, as long as I don’t over do.
