April 13, 2026
On Saturday (April 4) and Sunday (April 5), I was trying to not do much since my foot hurt from the removal of the two planters warts on my right foot.
I did walk around a little bit and took some pictures. I didn’t do any work on the gardens.

Notice how the Bama Dirt Pro Mix is light colored now. It rained earlier in the week, revealing the clay in the dirt. Underneath the clay crust, the dirt was a deep brown from compact and very crumbly.
As always, lovely pics from the Homestead. Love the dutch iris-a definitely sign of spring.

Thank you. It looks like I am only going to get one bloom this year out of the 10 I planted.

Bummer. Hopefully they’ll start naturalizing. 🤞🏼

It’s only one foot. The other one is perfectly fine. Get hopping. Literally. (This is not valid medical advice. Instead, use your infirmity to extort special attention from Bruce.)

Haha! Bruce was doing the cooking or taking me out to eat. Now that my foot no longer hurts, I am back to my usual programming.

It’s hard to take a day off when there is work to be done. Your mind keeps racing the whole day. 😆. Hope you enjoyed your downtime and had a chance to recover!
