The Promised Update on My Father-In-Law

In my previous post, I let you know my father-in-law was in surgery.

He is out of surgery now and in a hospital room. The surgeon discovered my FIL’s stomach had a hole in it. The surgeon repaired the hole and cleaned up the fluids that had leaked out.

My father-in-law is not awake yet. He is incubated. The doctor says that my father-in-law will be in the hospital for a few weeks.

Bruce is sitting with him while his sister goes for a walk to get some of the stress chemicals out of her system. Once she is back, Bruce will come back to his dad’s house.

Now for something lighter. Nox made a friend yesterday while we were backpacking her around. Nox’s shadow is on the right and the cute little dog’s shadow is on the left. They tried to touch noses.

  3. I came to read this post before commenting on the previous one. Whew. Yes, serious stuff and bad news on the set back but it sounds like recovery is a strong possibility over time. I’m sure your FIL will be bigtime frustrated at having to log more in-hospital time. You’ve got a big cheering section here so please pass along all our wishes for comfort and a return to health.
