On October 21 (Tuesday), I went out and looked at the garden. It was nice to see how the sprouts were growing.

We walked Nox and let her wander around the yard doing Nox things.
We headed to Rogerville, AL about 25 minutes away to have lunch with Jenny and Tim. I took a loaf of the homemade sourdough bread, three purple sweet potatoes, basil, rosemary, and lemon verbena as a hostess gift.
On the way, we passed fields of harvested cotton. I wonder if the new harvester also acts as a gin?

Jenny and Tim have a lovely home and two cute little chihuahuas. We spent a good bit of the day there. We got to tour their RV.
On the way home, we crossed the Tennessee River as the sun was setting.

Do you think the farmers would notice if you got out of the car and touched those rolls of cotton? Not that I was thinking of doing it or anything…. 😊
So glad you had a relaxing day with friends!

😂 It does look so soft and pretty, doesn’t it?Unfortunately, non-organic cotton has a lot of poisons on it until it has been cleaned. It isn’t really safe to touch.
It was a fun afternoon!

If you crop off the side mirror at the side of the photo, the image of the cotton bales in the field would make a good painting or print.
