On Friday (September 12), I filled in two more holes in the morning.
Around noon, Bruce and I walked down to the mailbox. I looked down into the creek and saw several tiny fish (minnows).

I can’t tell what species of fish they are. In looking at minnows on outdoorAlabama.com, Mosquitofish seems to be the most likely minnow.
In the middle of the afternoon, we walked to the back pasture to look at what needs to be done to start chipping branches from the pine trees again.
The neighbor’s donkey and sheep were by the east fence.

We continued on our walk, so we wouldn’t disturb the sheep.
The wild American Persimmon’s fruit has a slightly orange tint to them.

I watched the sunset over the house from the garden.

I like donkeys; I think they are so cool. I always enjoyed taking care of Dad’s when I would be at home. She and Rio were inseparable–if Rio went, Jenny followed.

I see I’m not the only donkey admirer out there! I love the picture of the “peeking donkey”. 😊
