June 30, 2025
On June 19 (Thursday), Bruce and I saw the eggs in the bird nest in the back pasture had hatched. There were three little squirming baby birds. I was so excited. I reached for my phone to take a picture. Oh darn, I had left my phone in the house. Bruce did take a picture of the babies.
On June 20 (Friday), Bruce and walked around the garden.

We walked around the back pasture, checking the fruit trees. I found some aphids on the tender apple leaves.
We walked over to see the baby birds, only to discover an empty nest. I felt a wave of sadness.

I did see several variegated fritillary butterflies.

The sunset was spectacular.

The fireflies were out flashing their messages of love.
It was a nice ending for the day.
Beautiful. We will come visit as soon as we can. We were thinking about coming around Thanksgiving, but we won’t be able to fit it in this time.

Those squash blossoms are beautiful! I wonder what happened to the baby birds, but I think I know. You have fabulous sunsets. And the fireflies is the icing on the cake!

I am amazed at how beautiful the squash blossoms are. I also wonder what found the baby birds. The fireflies dances of light are delightful.
