On June 6 (Friday), it poured rain on and off. With all the rain, we didn’t do anything else with the chipper.
Instead, we did some indoor projects. I had ordered some cellular shades for Bruce’s office. We took advantage on the rainy day to put the shades.

From Bruce’s window, I noticed a few blooms on the purple magnolia on the top of the tree towards the south.

I spent a good bit of time ironing the curtains in the living room. I purchased a portable garment steamer from Amazon. It had arrived a few days earlier, so I was ready to try it out. I was impressed with how well the steamer removed the wrinkles from the hanging curtains.

The wrinkles had been bugging me for a while. Bruce mentioned that he didn’t even see the wrinkles. Somehow, I wasn’t surprised by that statement.
After it rained most of the day, it stopped raining in the evening. We tramped around the yard to check on everything.

The namesakes of Blackberry Homestead are ripening along the fences. We found a few ripe blackberries to eat as we walked around looking at the garden and orchard.
Now you can make steamed blackberries! 😆
