Bruce drove his dad to his GP doctor’s appointment yesterday. The GP discussed side effects of some medication.
Bruce says his dad seems like his normal self. He is coherent when speaking and is moving around well. My father-in-law still isn’t supposed to be left by himself for long, but Bruce is thrilled by how well his dad is recovering after getting home.
Bruce has been keeping himself busy by cleaning up all the branches downed by the winter storm. He’ll work a while then go check on his dad.
The yard waste collection crew came hauled away this collection of broken branches. I recall the island authority shreds and composts yard debris.

The local hospital apparently lost my father-in-law’s drivers license. Bruce says this is a minor problem considering all that happened.
Next week, Bruce will be flying home on Friday. One of his brothers will be replacing Bruce to help with my father-in-law’s recovery.
Thank you for your support. It has meant a lot to us.
Wonderful news! I know you all are feeling better after hearing this. Take care!

It is! My FIL is still napping a lot, but that will help him heal.

Glad Bruces’s dad is doing so well, and that he is lucky to have 2 sons willing and able to provide care and support. I feel bad for elderly people who have no one.

His youngest daughter flew out for the first week. His oldest daughter is ready to take over when needed.
