Cleaning My Induction Cooktop

January 27, 2025

This post is for Anne, my blog friend who writes Mehrling Muse. She has been very interested in my induction stovetop.

My induction stovetop had developed several cloudy spots, so I decided it was time to do a deeper cleaning.

Normally, I just wipe the cooktop down with a diluted solution of cleaning vinegar. It takes any grease splatters right off. If I know what I’m cooking is going to be really messy, I put down parchment paper. My husband, on the other hand, does not.

Here’s what one of the cloudy spots looked like.

Vinegar Won’t Remove This

I got out my Bosch Glass Cooktop Cleaner.

I’ve used it once before, so I didn’t have to test it this time. I applied the cleaner in a gentle circular motion.

After the cleaner was on the stovetop, I dampened another microfiber rag and wiped the cleaner off.

It is very easy to clean. I just thought you might like to learn a little bit more about how I use my induction stovetop.

    1. You are welcome! I was amazed at how it cleared the clouds away. I had been afraid my cooktop was permanently damaged. It was a relief to see how easy it was to make it like new.

    1. Super easy! Bosch recommends using vinegar to clean the cooktop mostly. I was impressed that a higher end company wasn’t pushing their cleaner for normal use, just the once and while deep clean.

    1. I love my stove! I like it better than the gas stove I used in my RV. I love how consistent the temperature is when I cook on it. I love how fast it boils water. I do miss the flames for roasting peppers though.

I get wanting to replace something, but not anytime soon!
