Assembling Blue Bird Houses

January 25, 2025

The blue bird houses I ordered arrived from Amazon today.

Here is the unboxing.

I selected the package with the card titled “A Way to Attract Birds”. I opened the package and found the instructions on how to assemble the bird house was on the back of the card.

The first package included a screwdriver as well as the instructions.

The cedar boards were predrilled, making assembly a breeze.

To install the blue bird house on the post, I put the three long screws in place. I screwed them in so a small amount of screw stuck out the back.

I took a tape measure and measured up five feet on the post. The bird house needed to be screwed to the post almost at the top of the post.

I pressed the screws sticking out to the post. The screws marked where I needed to drill a pilot hole.

I went inside and got the drill, along with a drill bit and an extension with a cross point screw bit.

I drilled holes for the screws. I put the bird house against the post so the screws sticking out went into the holes on the post. Yay! That worked.

I put the bird house down, while I switched to the extension and screw bit. I held up bird house and screwed it to the post.

Since the instructions said the house should face between northeast and southeast, I was looking to the east. As What did I spy with my little eye , baa baa black sheep!

I went inside and put the second bird house together.
