Yesterday (December 13), we decided to tackle the corner with fenced trees. I wanted to bring this part of the back pasture into the main backyard. It would bring trees into to backyard.
I took some before and after pictures

Yesterday, Bruce started by using a Kaiser blade to cut through the privet, blackberry canes, and honeysuckle.
I picked up sticks until Bruce was ready to let me use the Kaiser blade.

Once Bruce was sure I knew how to use the Kaiser blade, he started removing the clips holding the fence wire to the metal t-post.
He removed almost all the wire clips. Some were hidden by dirt.
Today, Bruce tacked removing the wire and metal t-post. I took the clippers with me and cut off the honeysuckle wrapped around the fence wire. I also cut down blackberry canes growing next to the fence.
Bruce enjoyed using his new tool, a fence post puller.

We also discovered a chain wrapped around two trees. It looks like one of the trees is dead.

I moved a pile of boards out of treed area and put them in the lawn.
We even rescued an outdoor table.

Bruce ran the mower through the trees.

It was a lot of hard work, but I am proud of how nice it looks now.
At some point, I know I’ll be pulling poison ivy off the trees.
Y’all really work hard!

You are hired; when can you show up to remove privet? That is a lot of hard work, but yes, worth it!

Maybe after we get all the privet removed from Blackberry Homestead we could show up. That could take a few years! It is absolutely worth it. It looks so much better now.

Wow, I can’t even imagine how hard that must have been! Was that only one day’s work or many?

We worked on it for two days. We are not done, but the big work is completed. There will be another post with Bruce using a chainsaw!

Do I hear him grunting like Tim Allen?

Yes, when he pulled out the fence post, he certainly grunted!
