I made another apple pie yesterday. I decided to cut out a bee flying towards an apple flower on the crust.

You are so clever and creative! The pie is so pretty, though, that I would hate to eat it. 😆

I enjoy making pies; I would make more if I wasn’t worried about weight gain for Bruce and myself. My grandmother (Dad’s mom) made absolutely wonderful pies. My grandmoan (Mom’s mom) made the best cakes. I don’t make cakes that often; we just don’t need that much temptation in the house.

There is something wonderful about a homemade cake. My grandmoan would make coconut cakes, lemon cakes and angel food cakes. (She raised chickens and had lots of eggs.)
I love coconut cakes. I also love German chocolate cakes, but I can no longer eat chocolate. 😢I can’t have anything with caffeine.
