Cooking on the Flex Burner on my Induction Stove

October 22, 2024

Last night, I wanted to try out my flex burner on my new induction stove. The flex burner can hold different sized pans and if the flex burner is joined, a griddle can be used on it.

First, I put down some parchment paper on the flex burner. Next, I carefully paced my cast iron skillet on the parchment paper.

I put oil in the skillet and selected the bottom half of the flex burner and turned it on.

After the oil heated up in the cast iron skillet, I added mushrooms to sauté them.

I put a paper towel down over the large burner and put a large pot on to boil, using the speed boost option.

Notice the “b” for Boost

Once the water came to a roiling boil, I dialed the burner down to 9, then 8.

The speed boost is to bring water to a boil very quickly.

The simple spaghetti and tomato sauce was delicious.
