We looked at a house just outside of Elgin, AL. Afterwards, we stopped at a seafood restaurant, Lash Seafood. I would give it 3 stars and I am not tempted to try their cooking again. They also sell fresh seafood, so that may be worth stopping in for.

We crossed the Tennessee River on the Wheeler Dam Road (Hwy 101) to head back to Tuscumbia by way of Colbert Alloys Park. The pictures from the truck windows did not come out as clearly as they normally do due to the window being dirty.

We pulled over into the Wheeler Dam overlook to get a better view of Wilson Lake and Wheeler Dam. There was no information on the rock core.

On the other side of Hwy 101, there is the TVA Wheeler Dam Public Park and the Wheeler Dam Village. We didn’t stop there this time.
We continued to Hwy 184, turning onto River Road, where we turned onto Gargis Hollow Road, with another turn onto Veterans Drive. We stayed straight to get on Alloys Park Ln.
Once in the park, we drove through the small RV park, then down to the park’s boat ramp. It had a very nice boat ramp, which I somehow managed not to take a picture. You can just see the pier behind the rentals shed.

We walked up the steps, all eight floors, to the pavilion overlooking the Gargis Hollow.

We walked back down the 8 flights of stairs and drove home, past the house we made an offer on, then turned onto 6th Street, with a turn onto US Highway 72 to the road to the RV park.
If the house buying works out, Bruce will be able to easily put in at Colbert Alloy Park; it is only 3.5 miles from the house. There is a sailing club across the Tennessee River, if he is interested in sailing again.
Gargis Hollow looks beautiful! It will be nice to be able to visit whenever you like.
