On Wednesday (January 10), we rode up to Spanish Springs (part of the Villages) from the Trails End RV Campground to have lunch with one of my friends.
We worked together many years at FirstBank in Colorado. It was great to see him! He retired just a few months before me.
We met at a restaurant in Spanish Springs, Florida and had a great time catching up over lunch. After he left, Bruce and I took a stroll through Spanish Springs.
It is beautifully landscaped and golf cart parking has priority.

Some of the buildings have a bit of Spanish flair to them and look very much like the buildings in Santa Fe, NM.
It was very nice to walk around a bit before riding back to the RV. I was delighted I got a chance to visit with my friend and his partner.
One of my former coworkers has a place in “The Villages”. I do not think I have her contact info any more, but I would like to see that area sometime.

One cannot have too many friends or Spanish architecture. How nice to get to see both!
