Getting the Truck Repaired

December 19, 2023

Last week, Bruce was able to get an appointment for Tuesday, December 19, to get the truck repaired. We really want to get the sunroof leak fixed.

After the deluge we had on Saturday (December 16), the truck headliner was soaked behind the driver’s side rear seat. The back of the seat was also soaked and the seat was also wet. Nox’s towel caught a lot of the water and the rolled up towel behind the headrest caught a lot of the water. Still, the seat was soaking wet. I was removing the soaked towels, I was happy to know that we had an appointment to get the truck repaired.

On Monday, we opened up the truck to get some of the moisture out.

The truck also has a couple of recall items, the high pressure fuel pump and a tailgate alignment issue that need to be looked into.

This morning, after taking Nox for her walk, Bruce drove the truck to Jenkins Chrysler Dodge Jeep RAM of Homosassa. I went with him.

We were told the truck would have to be left overnight for the high pressure fuel pump recall. The dealership had a rental car for us. After signing all the paperwork, we got into the car. Bruce spent some time adjusting the seat and mirrors, after saying, “Of course, someone tall last drove it.”

We decided to get something to eat at the nearby Olive Tree restaurant and then to head home (RV).

The Olive Tree is a Greek and American restaurant. Bruce and I were pleased with the entrees, but the phyllo on the baklava was not crisp anymore. We still took it home with the thought we could heat it up and crisp up the phyllo.

Bruce drove us home and it seems very strange to see a Jeep parked where the truck is normally parked.
