Before the FROG Rally, Looking Around Goshen, Indiana

August 19, 2023

We headed out of the campground in Niles, Michigan on Thursday (August 10), to the Elkhart County 4-H Fairgrounds in Goshen, Indiana for early check in for the FROG Rally.

FROG a stands for Forest River Owners Group. It is a free to belong to FROG and they provide great rallies.

The actual FROG Rally started on Sunday (August 12), with dinner and a speech on what to expect.

We had a few days to do things in Goshen before the rally started.

Our friends Rick and Mary also did early check in to the rally. We got together to do some exploring. I wanted to check out the Old Bag Factory. It was a remodeled factory that has shops. Mary and Rick thought it sounded fun and we meet them there.

They had a lovely (and expensive) chocolate shop. A pottery shop sold beautiful pottery and we got to watch the potter finish up a cup. We had to walk through a furniture store to get to the pottery shop. There was a natural clothing store, with beautiful clothes. I considered buying a shirt, but restrained myself. Mary bought a lovely rust colored sweatshirt.

In the basement (down under), there was only one shop, a model train store.

We ate at the Mexican restaurant in the building. The food was delicious!

After lunch, Rick and Mary headed back to their RV. Bruce and headed into downtown Goshen and looked around a little bit. It appeared most stores were closed for the day.

After a quick look around, we talked about coming back to downtown Goshen when the stores were open. The candy store looked like it had an old fashioned soda fountain.

We walked back to the motorcycle, geared up, and headed back to the RV.

It was a lovely day.
