Bruce needed to pick up his prescriptions at the CVS in Kewanee, Illinois. On Friday (June 23), we decided to ride the motorcycle into Kewanee. Google maps didn’t know a road was closed, so we had to go a bit out of our way.
On the way, we rode under a bridge that was 13’ 9” and we laughed so hard. It reminded us of taking the RV home and going under a bridge that was 13’ 9”. I’ll share that story if anyone is interested. You can request the story in the comments.
We decided to get breakfast at The Station before heading to CVS. The Station is a diner with good diner food.

Since Google maps said the CVS was an eleven minute walk from The Station, we left the motorcycle parked and walked to the CVS. We walked one block over from Main Street.

We had to cross Main Street to get to the CVS. After Bruce picked up his medicine, we decided to walk back to the motorcycle along Main Street.

We walked past Good’s Furniture. It is the largest furniture destination in the Midwest. They’ve combined several buildings into one large building. They even have a bridge across Main Street to get to additional buildings. I think it would be interesting to walk around inside to see how they’ve combined the buildings.
We continued our loop and walked back to the motorcycle. We geared up and headed back to the RV along a different route that was faster.
I’m interested in the story. 🙂

Oh dear, what happened to your RV?

We luckily didn’t have anything happen to the RV. It was a close call. I wrote a post called “Thirteen Feet Nine Inch Bridge Story” to share the story of what happened.

Of course, I read your low bridge post before I got to this one, so I knew the end of the story! What a charming town. I really am enjoying the murals, even though they are second hand. They certainly add to the charm.

I was impressed by the murals. The sidewalks were in bad shape. It felt like a place where maintenance wasn’t being done in places.
