I-80 Lakeside RV Campground in North Platte, NE Review

June 25, 2023

The I-80 Lakeside RV Campground has large trees near the lake. Many campsites back up to the lake.

The office has CAMP written in on the roof.

They only have one bathhouse. It was very clean.

The roads and some of the sites are gravel. Some of the sites are in the grass.

There are burrs. Nox made use of the small dog park, but she was mostly interested in walking around on the gravel roads and under the trees. Nox was fascinated by the children playing in the lake.

The sunsets from across the lake were beautiful.

Here is our campsite.

Our campsite had a brick patio with a fire ring and a picnic table.

Across the road from the campground is the South Platte River.

Less than a mile (.7 miles), along the road is the Peg Leg Brewery. We walked to it from the campground and Bruce enjoyed some of their beers while I drank lemonade.

After Nebraska Days was over, the campground emptied out.

We did experience biting flies when we were trying to set up the RV.

While walking around the lake one evening, we did see a couple of deer.

Oh, I almost forgot. There was mulberry bush in the campground. Big mulberry trees lined the road along the South Platte River.
