I had an eye appointment in Bushnell, so we went into Bushnell well before my appointment and walked around the Dade Battlefield Historic State Park.
Last year, the visitors center was closed for renovations. This year, it was open. We also walked in a section of the park we hadn’t visited before.
We walked past the visitors center and along the trails that had information about the battle.

After viewing the markers in the battlefield, we went inside the visitors center.
They had a beautiful display of sewing done by the Seminole women. Please excuse the poor quality of the pictures, as there was a lot of reflective light on the case.

The visitors center had a lot of detailed information about the the events leading up to the battle and about the battle.

They had items for sell at the visitors center. I found these “pine cones” to be beautiful, but without anywhere to put them, I didn’t buy any.

The first thing I thought of when I read Bushnell was the binoculars! I wonder if there’s a connection between the two. Anyway…Julia is it possible to insert your photos (especially the smaller ones) as a link to its original page? I (and most likely other readers) need to right-click on the image to open in another window in order to see it better. Thought it might be helpful.

Hi – I changed one of the gallery settings. Would you be willing to see if the pictures show up better now? Thanks.

Looks like an interesting site. I do not need any more things either…trying so hard to get rid of stuff!

We had so much stuff to get rid of when we downsized. It was way more stuff than we thought, until we started going through it!
