We lucked out this morning, the weather was really nice for test driving the truck. It was a little cold, but the predicted snow didn’t happen. At 8:45 AM, we test drove a RAM 3500 dually with the Max Tow Package, with a crew cab and the 8 foot bed. It is a big truck, and I haven’t driven anything that big since I was in my 20’s.
I was impressed with how comfortable the truck was. It was very quite in the cab, and handled very well. The ride was a little stiff, but not nearly as bad as the trucks from my childhood.
The bucket seats were very comfortable and roomy, and there were cup holders everywhere in the truck. Even the doors had cup holders and the center console had cup holders.
Once we buy a truck, I know I’ll need some practice figuring out just how big it is and where the edges are. It will be cone time in an empty parking lot so I get to really know the truck. I don’t want to be the person who parks over lines and parks to close to others. (Or even worst, puts a dent into someone’s vehicle.)
I could picture us rolling down the road with the 5th wheel behind us, with the dogs in the back seat!
