June 22, 2026
On June 12, we did several errands in town. When we got back home, we walked down to the mailbox. The daylilies along the fence were blooming.

I did some housework and Bruce did some weed whacking.
In the early evening, while it was still light enough, we toured the orchard and gardens.
As I walked onto the back patio, I loved seeing the setting sun’s light shining in the upper sections on the trees.

As we walked around the backyard, the clouds were a golden sky river, glowing as the sunset.

The fireflies were out, adding their beauty to the evening.
The sunset became spectacular!

Gorgeous!

They are a gift from the people who built the house.

How can you live around such beauty without constantly weeping?

My heart leaps at the beauty and sometimes, poetic words come to mind. I try to share them.

I know, It’s like that every time I look in the mirror. I just keep tissues nearby.

It is so sad you have to cry every time you look in the mirror. I can understand seeing beauty in the mirror since you are holding Reiko.
