Gifts Sent Arrive Safely

I determined I wasn’t going to finish “Juneau in Wild Sunflowers” for my dear friend, Jeanne from ajeanneinthekitchen.com, in time for Christmas.

Once I realized this, I started looking for gifts for her. She has items with frogs on them. She loves wine. She loves to dive. She loves Christmas and enjoys her collection of beautiful Santa dolls. She loves to cook and entertain so much that her blogs is about them. I wanted to send her something from Blackberry Homestead from my garden.

I kept an eye out for a beautiful Santa doll for her. I didn’t find one.

I found some beautiful turtle earrings at the Georgia Sea Turtle Center gift shop that felt like Jeanne to me. I bought them to give to her.

While at Christmas in the Country in the LaGrange College Site Park, at one of the vendor booths, there was a dish towel that combined s frog and wine. (I wrote a long post about Christmas in the Country since it was so fun. I have no idea what happened to that post.) I figured out where the post on Christmas in the Country was located.

While I wished I could send fresh basil, a bag of dried basil from Blackberry Homestead was included.

I spent some time drawing a Santa Christmas Card for Jeanne and Larry.

Jeanne received her box of Christmas gifts last night.

Gifts Unboxed

She shared the story behind her frog collection.

“There is a fun story behind the frogs 🐸 in the house. When I was teaching H2O aerobics, one of my favorite exercises I was called froggies, so all my peeps started giving me all kinds of frogs 🐸.”

I was relieved she got her gifts. Every year, I hope everything makes it safely.
