On Thursday (August 7), I worked in the garden. I killed four or five tomato hornworms and some armyworms that had been chowing down on my tomato leaves and green tomatoes. I sprayed squash bugs with soapy water and removed squash bug eggs. I got a nice harvest of cucumbers, squash, okra, and black-eyed peas. I found a ripe watermelon.
There are so many butterflies in the garden. The Pearl Crescent on the marigold flower had lost most of its rear wings. I was surprised it could still fly.

After getting cleaned up, I started working on the third lion cub. Here’s the stopping point.

When we needed a break, we walked over to our neighbors’ farm store and bought eggs. Bruce had been mowing and was waiting for the batteries to recharge.

As soon as we got home, Bruce scrambled two eggs for his supper. He was delighted with the flavor. I ate leftovers for my supper.
The doctor’s office adjusted my father-in-law’s dosage to help with the pain of shoulder surgery. My FIL is still in a lot of pain, but at least the adjusted dosage helped. I am relieved they were able to do something for him.
We got a beautiful sunset and some reflected color on the clouds in the east.

We also received a commissioned piece of artwork.
I am sorry Bruce’s father is in such pain. I feel for him; shoulder is difficult to put it mildly. It sounds as if you are the usual very busy!

Yes, according to my physical therapist, the shoulder, neck, and back are all connected. Bruce’s dad seems to be feeling better with the new dosage.
We are so busy so much of the time!
