Pictures of the Garden

June 27, 2025

On June 10 (Tuesday), I got up to take Nox outside. It was foggy from all the rain from yesterday. I had PT and on the way to Florence, the fog covered the Tennessee River.

By the time we got back home, the fog had burned off. Bruce went off to mow and I did some gardening. I spent time trying up the tomatoes with Velcro and training the cucumbers and squash on the trellis.

Bruce decided to cut the wood holding the second trunk to the stump of pine tree two. He used the electric pole saw so he would be safely out of the way.

Determining Where to Cut

That brown and yellow spot in front of Bruce had been a blackberry patch. Unfortunately, it had Himalayan blackberries in it, which are invasive. The thorns are scary on the Himalayan blackberries. I told Bruce we needed to remove that patch, so he mowed it down.

Bruce did cut a few branches on pine tree two. He decided he would need to mow closer to the two trunks to really be able to cut the branches.

We had another beautiful sunset, with sparkling fireflies flashing across the darkening lawn.
